Neon Mobile Bank oferece o registo mais rápido na Suíça

Opening a bank account on a Sunday night? It's now possible with Neon! The Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent confinement measures have made a large part of the Swiss population aware of the importance of having fast and reliable digital solutions for the proper functioning of our society. The trend towards the digitalisation of services is accelerating as rarely before, much to the delight of consumers.

For several years now, some players have been seeking to disrupt the traditional banking model. The Zurich-based start-up Neon, which has been active since 2018, is one of them. After launching its 100% mobile banking offer, which allows users to open an account online and obtain a MasterCard credit card free of charge, the fintech company continues to facilitate access to its mobile services.

It is now possible to register at any time of the day or night, without having to go through the long and tedious process of video control. The neo-bank has chosen a photo identification that takes only five minutes at most. It is no longer an employee who performs this task, but an artificial intelligence capable of verifying the authenticity of the photos and checking the identity of the new customer in an instant.

This fully digital procedure is regulated by FINMA and uses technologies developed by the Swiss companies IDnow and Intrum, pioneers in online identification. Neon's registration process is thus completely secure and reliable. However, only holders of a Swiss identity card can benefit from this new function for the time being, but this should change in the course of the year, says Neon.

Another new feature of Neon mobile banking is the integration of Samsung Pay. It is now possible to pay with your Samsung smartphone or connected watch in all stores that accept contactless payment. It should also be possible to use competing Apple Pay and Google Pay solutions soon, Neon announced.
